Frankly I recognized only one name: Haldor Laxness, the Icelandic novelist and socialist. He made a visit to India, I think in 1957 or 1961, and attended a CPI Congress. He is little known even in India, though I have seen, and bought some of his novels in Chennai. Havent got around to read him as yet.
Stefan Heym and Dubravka Ugresic are the other two writers that seem interesting on the list.
